Pope Benedict on World Communication Day

Yesterday Pope Benedict released his message for World Communication Day. It is amazing as is everything he says and writes :)

You have to read it for yourself but here is my summation.

Silence is integral in communication. People today often believe that to communicate with someone is to say as many words as quickly as possible. With the internet and television we are bombarded with words and images. Basically, communication slowly begins to lose its meaning and relationships fall apart because silence is lost. We need time to reflect, not only on the words, but the person who is saying them.

Thank you Pope Benedict for your ever poignant truth!

My February goal is to reflect more and to spend more time in silence with the people that I truly love.
