I stumbled upon a neat initiative that the Catholic Church is supporting.
It is called "Give One Get One"
Basically you buy a $400 XO laptop and this company donates a laptop to a child in a developing nation. You have to buy one by November 26 so hurry!

Those are really neat laptops. The original design called for a hand crank, but they eventually tossed that. They're apparently entirely designed around working together in groups. I'd like to try one out someday. They look nifty.
